Basketball Kitbag

Basketball is a fast and skillful game, wearing the right kit will ensure you can keep your concentration on your moves. Clothing that allows free movement is essential, but don’t go for anything too baggy, or it will get in your way. Most basketball is played indoors and you can get quite hot, so clothing that helps to keep you cool is useful.

Clothing

A short sleeved or sleeveless t-shirt and shorts will help to keep you cool. Tracksuit bottoms are also a good option, but make sure they are not too long or you will trip over them! A warm sweatshirt or hoodie is also useful to keep your muscles warm during the warm up and on your way home, especially in the winter.

Sports Bra

Basketball is a high impact activity, so for women, wearing a well fitting sports bra will make playing more comfortable and prevent any bounce!

Socks and Trainers

Lace up trainers provide the best support for your feet and will help prevent injury. A good grip on the sole and around your toes is important as this will prevent your foot from slipping and sliding. Wearing socks with your trainers will help to prevent blisters - cotton sport socks are ideal as they absorb sweat and help to keep your feet dry.
