  Clothing

A short sleeved or long sleeved Polo shirt, V neck jumper and smart trousers or shorts are ideal. A warm jacket and waterproof set is also useful to keep you warm and dry throughout your round. You should check when you book if the course has a particular dress code.

Socks and Golf Shoes

Many courses will require you to wear specialist golf shoes. This is to ensure that the surface of the playing greens is not damaged.

Golf Clubs

Golf clubs are designed to help you make different kinds of shots. There are woods for tee and long fairway shots, irons for approach shots of various lengths to the green, and the putter for rolling the ball on the green and into the hole.

Each club has a different loft, or angle of the club head, which produces shots of different heights and distances. You may be able to hire clubs from the course where you are playing.
